Keep it Safe!!
WHAT!??
What is this?
Samples for a project about beds for fakirs?
Some untold story of how the holes in the nozzles are actually made, one by one, finally justifying the enormous cost of a properly raining shower head?
I give you hint: what is one of the greatest nuisance your customers will have you face in the use of your shower heads?
Price customers won't pay? Well, not if they are good customers.
Limestone deposits?
Right.
Clogged up nozzles by limestone deposits is the major issue with these ultra-slim sleek, beautiful and expensive - stainless steel shower head.
Shower heads, may they be wall or arm mounted, ultra thin (2 mm thick) or vintage-looking, they typically have a water chamber that is thin and can get saturated - for several reasons, the major two of which I'll address in a moment - by limestone deposits until more and more nozzles can't rain down water anymore, the shower head can withstand the internal pressure and - alas! - the showerhead first inflates itself and then immediately starts leaking water from some of the welding, when they don't crack open like in this picture.
This results in a ruined shower head that will need replacing - resulting in costs and the nuisance of a bathroom with no shower for some time - and potentially severe harm to a customer if the welding gets so much damage that the lower layer would detach from the top part and fall down on your head.
And although this is an extremely unlikely event because once the shower head start leaking the pressure is immediately released and further damage is not likely to happen...
... well, that is enough damage, anyway!
This might happen because of two major causes and none of them leads to point finger towards the production or the sales of the item, because all shower heads - at ZINOX Laser, at least - are tested one by one either with the automatic air-tight test equipment or a water-operated test equipment by supervision of a specialised operator and showrooms offer high quality, tested devices.
Causes can all be related to the quality of water but the damage is triggered by one or both of the following Bad Operating Procedures:
Insufficient regular maintenance by the end-user who - as stated in the instruction manuals - is expected to gently remove limestone deposits from the nozzle; a gentle rotation with the tip of the finger of the nozzles tip will suffice yet, it is often neglected;
Improper installation by a professionals who"forgets" to install the (provided) filter gasket and flow limiter.
How to deal with this?
ZINOX welding station are automated laser welding stations using special ad-hoc tools to position the parts and a brand new totally automatic equipment following very strict quality procedure, plus there are TIG welders operating on shifts. Plus, once again, shower heads at ZINOX are tested one by one either automatically or at an operator-based station.
Furthermore, all shower heads are provided with filter gasket and flow limiter and instructions always recommend using them always (the filter gasket) and whenever applicable (the flow limiter).
But stay tuned for more news on the matter, because we have only recently developed (and patented) the definitive solution to his problem!
P.S: here is a hint you can speculate on (or just ask me about).
